While working for University Advancement in my rotational-based internship, I got the opportunity to work with University of Oregon Women in Graduate Science (UOWGS). UOWGS strives for gender equality by focusing on the professional development of women in all disciplines of science to enable them to become successful contributors to their fields. Each year they hold a campaign to raise money for scholarships that support women and all marginalized genders in science at UO. Throughout the campaign, I wrote the fundraiser description, potential donor request emails, thank you emails to donors and took photos at the annual winter benefit.
