In hopes to get an insight on the constant popularity of vinyl records; I conducted research and interviewed employees of record stores in Eugene, Oregon.
With my ongoing interest in the music industry; I am constantly curious about why vinyl records continue to be so popular almost 80 years after the industry began. I spoke with the owner of Moon Rock Records and long-time employee of House of Records about their perspective on the ebb and flow of the record industry. I gained knowledge surrounding the specific company and history of vinyl records to better understand the industry. I wrote about the discussion with Greg Sutherland, employee of House of Records, for a feature interview for my media studies class. It’s featured below! You can check out the Moon Rock Records feature interview on the blogs tab!
